Does anyone from the Asia Pacific region know if particular stops will give all trainers a shiny, or is it random for everyone?

I just finished the event in the UK - the shiny rate is entirely random for each player, as opposed to being set stops like on the Squirtle community day.

prepare yourself for the feebas day.
15 nice throws or 10 great throws are easy but they take their time. And egg hatching and buddy distances take their time too. the shiny chance is really low ~ 5%. your able to complete 20-30 maybe 40 tasks. less shiny chances then a cd.

5% would be 1/20 which is close to normal CD rate, but Feebas shiny seemed to be a fair bit rarer than that. My feeling from seeing different numbers posted is that it's closer to 2-3%.

got 2 out of 27
that´ s why i wrote ~ 5%
now i think it´ s lower because so many trainers got no one.

Have fun with despair. This event is just shit in its very own essence from what i saw, the quests are a horrid waste of time and the shiny rates are close to none.

its not like we are missing out on a special move of anything, calm the F$%^ down, its not like after this event shiny feebas are impossible to get.
