Share your Ideal Generalist Battle Party for Gym Attacking?

Trying to prepare a battle party that is able to allow me to prepare ahead of gym battles (i will still need to rotate a bit from time to time) w

Machamp x 2 (Both with Counter/Dynamic Punch) for Tanks
Dragonite (Dragon Tail/Outrage) for Neutral Targets
Raikou (Thundershock/Wild Charge) to Cover Water/Flying
Gyrados (Waterfall/ Hydro Pump) to Cover Fire/Ground and Maybe Rock (Fingers Cross no Rock Throws)
Entei (Fire Spin/Overheat) to Cover Grass

I also have Alakazam with Confusion/Future Sight....but based on observation, i don't see many people putting poison or fighting mons for defensive

Anyone like to share your ideal generalist battle party?

Two Machamps may not be enough to deal with tanks with Psychic-type quick moves and/or Fairy-type charge moves, so consider adding Tyranitar with Bite/Crunch and Exeggutor with Conf/Solar. Time to farm Ralts too!

I'm considering swapping one of my machamps for a fully power Blaziken (still work in progress)

One of my Machamps is powered to the Max.

Blaziken doesn't really help you with lasting through multiple big normal types. At max it can probably defeat the big normals faster than your second Machamp which makes it a worthy inclusion, but just like Machamp, it won't last through a maxed ZH/DG Blissey if you fail even one dodge.

I wouldn't bother with anything that is single bar (because after the first round it's nearly useless), so mine would be:

Machamp x2 C/DP
Ttar B/C
Vap WG/AT
Eggy BS/SeB
Raikou TS/WC

These far and away get the most use out of my squad. DT/O dragonite would be #7.

None of the above, as I'm driving to work look for a gym my color with an open spot. Way home from work look for something to battle on the raid map. As I'm going there or home and I see a gym with an open spot, I put one in. Later on check the chat board to see if somebody close needs help with a legendary. If so I go to the grocery store, way home might put something in a gym or sweep with 3350 Dragonite

If I found a gym I cared about fighting I had this team set up...I Have 2 full teams of Machamps and Heracross that are ready to raid Tyranitar and/or trying for gym control before an EX

My DB Dragonites, one with DC, the other with O. I could swap out my DC one for my 3200 cp hurricane Nite, but I like DC. My SoB Eggy for ground, rock, and water. My KC/CC Machamp, again, just my preferred moveset. My new Gary to replace my Vape, and my Dark TTar.

I have two gym battling teams. My main one, "The Generals", if I ever need to use it for a gym full of high CP tanky defenders and get the job done quickly (with Ho-oh and Lugia serving as my main anchors), and a secondary backup team with most of my mainly used legendaries (in case I am on a potion shortage).

Here’s my current go-to team for quickly taking down gyms.

That is a very impressive team! I am anti-Legendary, personal preference, but your non-legendary are extremely impressive.

Here is my gym clearance squad. Ill replace the focus blast gengar with a mewtwo, if I ever get one. Otherwise, the gengar and machamp will take out the blissey and snorlax. The rest will power through whatever is left. I usually switch out before any of them faint.

When ho-oh stops being a raid boss, I will power it up, and may start using it to take out dazzling gleam blissey. Right now the other five are sufficient for all the gyms I deal with.

I caught a Ho-oh tonight with those exact stats. I wasn’t going to power one up, but now I’m back on the fence. What moveset are you running?

Given the most common defenders in my city are Blissey, Chansey, Snorlax, Ttar, Dragonite and Gary, my team are 3 C/DP Machamps, a WF/HP Gary, TSWC Raikou and a double ice Piloswine.

For optimal speed, I'd want to have 3 Machamp, 1 Dragonite, 1 Tyranitar, probably 1 Entei. Even if I fail a dodge or two with Machamps, I'll stil have enough left to get through all 3 big normal types in an efficient manner even if they're maxed. Dragonite can take down almost any other defender fast enough that it's not worth it to bring specialist in for them. The types that give Dragonite trouble being Fairy and Steel, Entei can handle both. Tyranitar is good for taking down the occasional psychic types that get put in to deter Machamps and is a good sweeper having a 3-bar charge move.

If I see a lot of Vaporeon (or very big Gyaradoses), Raikou replaces either Tyranitar, Entei or the 3rd Machamp.

My Generalist team. Usually, only the Machamp and sometimes the Dragonite get used. But they do well with some bosses too, especially vs Porygon.

Get 3 Champs, and a few Dnites and Ttars and no gym will really stand in your way (as long as the aren't being remotely fed GRs). There are other choices that will be more optimal for certain targets, but considering there are currently no notable Fairy quick moves, these three basically decimate all relevant gym defenders. Dnite resists almost all elementals, Champ is super effective against all top tier defenders, and Ttar is just reliable as long as you dodge super effective hits. I personally don't diversify my gym sweeper team because switching into a hit is just annoying.
