Question about max level fixing

Right now I have some Pokemon at level 39, so when the update comes to the app the power up button will appear again or it will never come back? :/

The recent update allowed players to get to mons to 39.5 - it was a Niantic fix that only went half way.

However, it appears that Niantic have remove the current update from rollout, as it is very buggy on many devices.

I would expect that when the next update comes out that we are able to get mons to 40...but that is an assumption not a guarantee.

TL/DR The new update only allows you to get to 39.5

That makes sense. I manually updated it and powered up all my maxed mons. Games been crashing left and right and sometimes on the battle screen the textures and rendering of mons are very off. Don't know how to describe it other than some genjutsu type looking shit.

I just got an update. But it was 0.79.4 instead of 0.81.1. Still can't power up my level 39 mons so not sure what's changed. Hopefully the go plus connection problems are gone
