Problems with Go Plus and iOS 11

iOS 10:
- Go Plus vibrates when approaching Pokemon or Pokestop
- When I pressed the button, it immediately reacted and started catching the mon or spinning the stop.

iOS 11:
- Now the Go doesn't react immediately.
- It goes through at least three full vibration cycles before starting to act on my press(es).
--> I miss out on many items/stops and some mons while quickly walking by them, that I would have got before.
And it drives me crazy. ;-)

Anyone having similar problems? Or even know a solution?

Degrade your phone to iOS 10, maybe even the fastest way?

It doesn't drive me that crazy that I would downgrade. Would just prefer to have the Go Plus behave the way it did before.

I was cautious of upgrading to IOS 11 as my device, the iphone 5s, is the oldest supported and I worry that it may have general performance issues on my phone. Hearing about the go+ issues means I definitely won't be updating until I hear it's fixed.

Apparently the problem is not with Niantic but actually with IOS 11 so you will probably have to wait for a newer release of IOS 11 before it's fixed.

Difficult to say who is responsible for this problem and can solve it.

But definitely not what I wanted right before the double stardust event.

I just submitted the bug to Niantic, but would still like to hear if anybody else has this kind of problem.

Niantic has added the problem to its "known issues" page:

Android users have been dealing with this issue a lot longer then iPhone users.

Woah, that's bad. I didn't know that. I hope they will fix it for both platforms.

This has put a huge dent in my Stardust harvesting. And I can't downgrade since I never installed iTunes on my PC. :(
