Prewalk Eevees and use perfect ones on CD?

Just got a second perfect Eevee, would you recommend to keep it for Gen IV or use it on CD? My only perfect eeveelution so far is Psiana

Pre walk yes, but I wouldn't use a perfect one. Last Resort is a normal type move, and most eevolutions will be more useful with their native moves.

I dunno - game press makes a pretty good argument for espeon being pretty darn good with last resort - better dps in partly cloudy weather than future sight against machamp even without STAB and machamp's weakness to psychic.

We don't know the specifics of Last Resort yet. We know it's 2 bar at 90 base power but we don't know if it's a mirror of Hydro Cannon or not. The article is simulating it as a Hydro Cannon clone when it could end up being better or worse.

Actually, we don't know that it's a 2 bar at 90 base, we suspect it. It may very well turn out to be exactly that, but AFAIK it's not in the code yet, so even the data miners can't get exact info about it.

Supposedly one of the Youtubers confirmed it. I just read it here in the Eevee day guide, I don't pay attention to e-celeb bullshit.

So in a particular weather it will have a negligible edge over FS. In all other cases it will be worse assuming your not using espeon in neutral conditions anyway (too glassy).

The edge is clear, not negligible. FS is a terrible move when compared to the best moves of most other types. But still, only in one weather so not particularly relevant.

I'd save perfect ones for gen IV, Glaceon in particular

I'm walking a 96 max attack one for espeon and a 96 max def/HP one for an umbreon, the last resport pokemon are going to be very, very niche use on offense, while something like glaceon will have a lot more usage and be more worth the perfect IV one

I thought evolving on CD does NOT give you Last Resort. It has to already know Last Resort. So no point in evolving during CD.

You have between local start and Monday at 1300 Niantic time to evolve for Last Resort, so no, you don't *have* to evolve during Community Day hours.

Technically, you're right; we don't *know* that evolving a pre-existing Eevee will get us an Eevolution with Last Resort. Still, any version of Espeon is worth having, so it's a minimal issue if it ends up with FS instead.

Yep, Asia takes it in the shorts again ... we are the lab rats for trainers everywhere.

"any Eevee"

As far as I am aware only Eevee's caught on CD with the charge move Last Resort will keep the special move when evolved, hence giving us 2 days+ to do it in. Walking Eevee's now to evolve on CD seems a little pointless if that is the case as they will evolve with normal moves. Save those for gen 4 & try for some good ones this weekend.

Still not clear to me, even tho u posted it twice ;) Basing your assumption on 1 word, 'any' could mean any Eevee since the history of time or 'any' Eevee caught on CD.

It says any Eevee without any conditionals. That means any Eevee, clear as a day. If they wanted to say "any Eevee caught during the Community Day" or "any Eevee that knows Last Resort", that's what they would've written.

I already walked the only perfect one I currently have just in case Niantic gives the Eeveelutions a stab charged moved. If they keep Last Resort a normal type move, I’ll wait til the event is over and get an Umbreon since it’s the only Eeveelution I don’t have a perfect of.

Eevees are extremely common here in the DFW. I’m sitting on over 3500 Eevee candies. RIP to my stardust though since I like to spend it on lots of non meta Pokémon. I’ll get some more perfect ones for the future Eeveelutions.

I've been doing a little Eevee collecting/saving, however my only two lucky Eevee both have 10a. Yeah, I really lack stardust to power up eevee. This bonus dust weekend not gonna change that. I do have my 854cp walked already, just nothing else an urgent candy need so I did it couple weeks ago.

Nice. I’m going to evolve every single Eevee I catch since I have so many candies whether they’re good or not and going to trade them in hopes someone gets a good one or good lucky one. Maybe I might get something good in return too.

How many candy do you have?? I'm sitting on 5,5k and it's not even nearly enough to evolve all Eevees that I'll catch.

A little over 3500 candies but my grinding days are long gone. I’ve stayed at home for the past 3-4 CDs.

I don’t see the need to have so many of a species when I’m never going to power them up. I try to limit just one maxed Pokémon per species with the exception of Blissey. It’s just my playstyle lately. I think I’ve raided like 4 different times too these past 4 months as well. I’ve just burned myself out and the game hasn’t had a major haul in a long time.

Words can't express how salty I'm about not having a hundo Eevee for myself to make into an Espeon and seeing so many people with multiples. 2337 caught, 200+ research encounters, probably 100+ hatches.

As for your question, wait at least until we know LR stats. Unless you want a perfect LR Eeveelution as a collectible, it could end up just being a waste of CTMs to evolve during the event.

Gen 4 is worth saving for, 100% Glaceon is going to be good no matter what, but it's not going to be great unless it ends up being the best of its type.
