No double xp again ... what should i do?
As per title
Ive been hording my pidgey army since before gofest trying to use them during a double exp event.
Should i continue keeping them for future double exp or should i make use of the double candy and transfer 300+ to get more candy?
Which is more worth it or beneficial?
Im lv 39 with 1m exp.
What im afraid of is that when the next double exp event come, i dont have enough pidgey to fully utilise my 5k+ pidgey candy.
My bag is constantly almost full at 980/1000

I guess i try to play around with the no. Of pidgey to transfer near the end of the event.
But the thing is if my memory is correct during the halloween event last year the ghost pokemon took over all the normal spawns(pidgey rats)
So not sure if i can replenish my pidgey army
And theres also thanksgiving event last year am i right? Double exp?
There might be a Thanksgiving Double XP event, but I expect it to come with the rollout of Gen 3 - maybe even with a triple XP for new Pokedex entries. And it isn't looking like the Gen 3 will come out before Christmas. That's why I think Christmas is the most likely time for a Double XP event, not Thanksgiving.

Listen mate. I'm on the same page as you. I can more or less guarantee you that by the end of November we will have our double XP event.
What I'm gonna do now is to evolve around 160 Pokemon, especially the ones that I only have a few evolutions of. In this way I empty some space for the coming month and I got some air to breath.
You won't be able to catch enough Pokemon during the double XP to evolve anyway so emptying your bag with 100 now and then isn't a bad idea imo.
I'm at 4k candies and a pretty full bag as well. Once double candy hits, I'm transferring ANYTHING necessary (I've saved all my larvitars/ttars/chanseys/blisseys/mareeps/etc since summer) including anything like pidgeys as well. Players anticipate a double XP event happening around Thanksgiving.
Pidgeys aren't super rare, so I would simply prepare to catch a whole bunch again for that event. If anything, you might run into a whole lot more candies during Halloween.
Evolving during Halloween only gives you 1 extra candy per Pidgeotto (When you evolve a pidgey into a pidgeotto, you get 1 candy (x2). May as well just wait for double xp - Pidgies take up room, but pidgey candies do NOT.
I had well over 1000 candies of most pokemon lines just a couple weeks ago. I just hit 39 and decided it was time to cash out, go all on, and hit 40. I'm down to about 8 pokemon lines with still over 1000 candies and I only made it halfway through the level. This is with lucky eggs and raiding. Ill hit a raid (or better yet two or three) and evolve in between them. Still only made about 2.5m exp. Do what you will however take my warning, it goes faster than you think!
