Medals-tiny rattata, big magikarp?

Besides Unown I am close to getting all my gold medals except only 108/300 tiny rats and 192/300 big magikarp....what does that even mean? What qualifies as tiny and big?

Look around their height and weight.

For example my Slowqueen would qualify as Tiny:

as an asside about how many magikarp /rats did it take for people to get there medals?

86/622 Karp 19/186 Rat

I don't catch too many Ratatas. I have been blessed with 3 shiny Magikarps; two of which are 70+% and evolved.

you have done well with the shinies
on the medal count that's about my ratio I was just curious as near 1000 karp and not quiet half way there

(only one shiny for me but I do have a good number of 95%+ gyrados)

Also I swear that logging over 10kms a day every day for the event blessed me with good fortune. The second was caught right after their 'keep an eye out; its still out there' tweet. The third was weeks later.

270 out of 2239 of mine are tiny rats.
111 out of 693 karps are big. Only 1 shiny with poor ivs.

As far as Rattata is concernded, i think it needs to be less than 2.5 kg to qualify as tiny. I didn't figure out the threshold for carps yet.

1380 karp and 197 big. 2000 will be 300

I believe when the appraisal says "thats the smallest rat ive ever seen" that qualifies... but not totally sure on that.
and i'm at 98/300 for those rats and 54/300 for the fish
