A kind warning

Please do not use the autoselect vs Groudon or Kyogre.

Kyogre Autoselects will almost always generate Aggrons, Cloysters and lv20 Kyogres. Groudon autoselects are almost always Ho-Ohs or even worse, Lugias.

If you just go in with the autoselect team i'm afraid you will not make it even with 7 or 8 people. Cloysters are known for generating less power against Kyogres than Cresselia at lv35, or even worse, lv20 Pikachu.

Make your own team, especially if there are only a limited amount of people in the raid group. 4 groups of 6 lv30 frenzy plant venusaurs can pillage a kyogre without blizzard easily but i won't be going home safely if there are 7 or 8 people and i am the only one using customized electric types and the rest use a bunch of cloysters and aggrons.

Noobs gotta learn the hard way.... they have been able to use autoselect garbage with impunity for months now .... even with all the nerfs they are in for a rude awakening with blizzard and solar beam sets

More people will know/think to change to better attackers on their first battle party, however their re-entry party will almost always be autoselect. There will be raids lost bc of this (especially with double phone users having difficulty even switching to a pre-selected party in-battle)

A display of individual total damage of all participants after the end of a raid battle would be very much appreciated. It could implicitly help less familiar people to question their team choices.

That'd be awesome. Add a little friendly competition to each raid, too! Display it at the end just like a high score display like any other multilayer game.

I've often thought the same thing. Even just listing the top 3, or something like that, would be helpful.

Sorry I can't resist making this comment: You can trio Groudon with a team of maxed Ho-Ohs and 4-man with a team of maxed Lugias. Their DPS from the best movesets isn't THAT bad when maxed.

Jokes aside, good post and relevant topic.

What's scary is you could say this "Well technically" response to a newbie asking about it and they'll completely gloss over the part where they need to be MAXED and still run with auto-selects.

Personally I'm stuck with indecision since we have so many new things to use against them I don't know what to use.

Yeah, that's why I generally don't tell funny anecdotes like this to people if I don't know they'll understand them in proper context. It'd still be funny to see an all Ho-Oh trio, I know there are crazy people out there who have six maxed.

I'll personally use this as an excuse to finally get Electivire and Roserade for the dex and maybe max a few FP Venusaurs more, got a 100% and shiny 98% that I want to dust off even if they get outclassed by Sceptile in 2 months.

Similar thoughts about Electivire. I have a perfect sitting in my box I might finally dust up for Kyogre. I also have some very good HC Feraligatr I want to use including a lucky I can't remember the IVs of and a 98% non-lucky. I need to go on a dust-farming spree for all these options.

Solid options. PvP definitely put a dent into the dust stores recently for me, dust grinding has become an increasingly attractive idea recently after months of it feeling pretty pointless.

This is why I only raid with 2 other best friend level players who know their shit about this game.

Private lobby trios beat n00bz 20 people lobby always

Good post. It's been so long since we've had these in the raid rotation I forgot how awful the auto-select is for them.

Thanks for reminder. It's freezing out there, better clear those raids as fast as possible with proper counters!
