June Community Day

So guys,what do you think will be the next Community day mon?

I Think maybe will be a three step evolution of gen 3 like Ralts or Trapinch or Slakoth
Or Larvitar

Oh what I wouldn't give for a Ralts Day.

Well,
1st we have Pikachu (a ''initial'' gen 1); then Dratini (a rare - 10km egg - gen 1); then Bulba (a initial gen 1); then Mareep (a ''rare'' - 10km egg - gen 2); then Charmander (a initial gen 1)... so maybe in order a ''rare'' 10km egg from gen 3 its possible.

Slaking with a real quick move would be interesting. My money is on Larvitar or Machop though

Slaking has yawn as fast move for a reason don't expect other fast move but body Slam as a charge move would be nasty.

The limits on a community day would make it reasonable to give something like Slaking a better fast move - you wouldn't have people with a dozen of them. They could restrict it further to Slakoth both caught and evolved on CD to keep it under control.

Personally, I'd be really happy with a Tyranitar with a special fast Rock move. Probably mess up the meta, but double rock Ttar, wow, would that be fun.

TTar shall get Smack Down, which might get into the game with the Adventure Week event coming soon

Hope not. That would just obsolete every other rock type pokemon competely for everyone with access to enough Tyranitars. Smack Down is already in the game, it's just not assigned to any pokemon currently.

I've actually checked with sims, BS Slaking performs worse as a defender than PR Slaking. It fires more often sure, but PR is going to wreck your average attacker much worse due to hitting Machamp so hard.

Depending on motivation slaking may not even get to fire any play rough, or just one which can be dodged. Earthquake and hyperbeam isn’t any good unless full hp.

Earthquake and Hyper Beam aren't any good regardless, they're just so slow.
I don't think it's worth it to consider low motivation situations at all. Blissey may take more than 10 seconds to beat, any other defender is equally meaningless at low motivation.

Probably not

Slaking with Pound/Hyper Beam is just below Rayquaza in neutral DPS. Slaking with Scratch/Hyper Beam is just below C/SB Mewtwo. The worst actually damaging quick move (besides Present) is Take Down, with which Slaking would be below C/HB Ursaring. Doesn't really seem that broken.

Zero chance they actually give it Pound or Scratch and let it compete with flagship legendaries, but a decent quickmove that lets it be somewhat useable as an attacker probably wouldn't break anything.

I say give Slaking Struggle.

Good god... not Machamp. I just blew through 400 candy just to use up some.

Speculating based on the "pattern" is dumb still at this point so I'll just say that I would like the next one to be Vulpix, Abra, Grimer, Snorlax or Lapras. I mean, Ttar and Gardevoir are cool but they are already pretty useful so I think it would be a waste to have them as C-day protagonists. I just really hope they don't choose Trapinch... for the love of god, let it NOT be Trapinch please please please please oh dear merciful Arceus PLEASE! I am on my knees begging you

You do realize that begging like that will pretty much guarantee that we will get Trapinch, and when that happens, we know exactly who to blame for it, ....

Expecting Larvitar but hoping for Trapinch as I'm working on that day & can't get out of it! If it is Larvitar can't see them giving Tyra a new charge move so a rock fast move, smack down would make sense. Chansey another possibility as they're super rare, like Mareeps & 10km but not sure it's a great idea to give Blissey something better than DG incase they make gyms harder in the future.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you can at least evolve some Larvitar you already have IF it is Larvitar in fact. I personally hope that Chansey never gets a c-day spotlight, if there's any species that deserves the hard grind is the very best defender in the game.

Chansey would be boring, the whole meta flooded with Blisseys.

You should look for some specimen that with a slight boost will be second best as a total. How would a Smack Down Kabutops be compared to Golem?

The whole meta IS flooded with Blissey. It's very rare to find a gym without either a Blissey or a Chansey, if not both.

What a CD with Chansey would do is out some variation in terms of color into things.

Besides, precedence shows that the non starter CD move is mediocre at best.

It will be a completely meta irrelevant pokemon with only 2 stage evolution that has become very rare nowadays: pineco!

I still recall the pain hatching Pineco from 10km eggs. Incredibly painful .

Probably not Larvitar as this would devalue Tyranitar, which is a staple Tier 4 Raid boss. They probably wont want to hurt their raid pass profits this way.

Geodude. A three-stage evolution that would benefit from Smack Down without breaking the meta.

Last I checked, Smack Down was assigned the exact same stats as Rock Throw.

Golem has been a raid boss.

Given the news today, I wouldn't be surprised if it's Geodude. Three step evolution that could be the first Alola variant introduced and/or Smackdown as community day move
