Is it too late to RAID

Generally a RAID has a duration of 59 minutes howevever what happens if I enter a raid in the last one minute left, do i still have a chance to complete my RAID beyond the allow time?

Yes, however some risks associated with the last minute raid: you cannot rejoin if timer expires at the time of rejoin. If you somehow error out at any stage after the time expires, you won't be able to continue.

I had 4 minutes left on the clock. About 2 mins of waiting to start time and 2 mins to take down Machamp. So just made it and hence my question. I think you are right about the danger of rejoining. Cheers

The only point the raid timer matters is when you join the lobby. You can join the lobby with 2 seconds left and still do your 2 min wait time, 3 minutes of raid battle, and catch the mon without issue, however if you are kicked out at any point for any reason you will be unable to rejoin.
