Idea to make raid battles harder

Change raid timeout to depend on your best DPS to that boss earlier.

If 20 people join a raid use their total previous best DPS times some factor (95%?) to set the timeout. A big party may then get timeout in under a minute, while a single player may get a 20 min for legendary boss.

For s new boss some figure dependent on previous bosses.

That will keep the challenge at big parties while letting undermanned parties still have a chance.

I'm not sure how they would keep track of all that unless the exact same people were in the exact same raid group at all times.

I'm all for making Raids more dynamic though so that any group size can participate and have a shot at winning. Maybe all Raid bosses could have a static Defense stat and HP is determined by how big the group is. For example, Regice and Rayquaza would have the same Defense stat but they have a tough but soloable HP that increases depending on the number of people.

The challenge of raiding a Legendary would then be similar to soloing a Tier 3. Team quality over quantity

Not that hard to track. The game kreps tracking loads of information, this would just be drops in a bucket.

I think it is essential to make lvl 5 harder than lvl 3. With the suggested approach lvl 5 would take much longer than a lvl 3 for the same group.

But DPS is highly dependent on weather, so if your previous regice raid was in sunny or cloudy weather, and now you have rainy weather, it might be impossible to win.

Just a thing for the game to track and different move sets for the bosses could be adjusted for by some factor from battle simulations.

The factor “total best DPS” is multiplied with have to be “kind” enough to give some margin of error

Additional rewards could be added for setting new personal best. But this could of course be abused by people closely controlling their damage so they set new personal best each time.

But why? If I gather 19 other people (feasible), shouldn't it be easier than gathering 14, 9, or 4 others?

Still would be, you do IT in a fraction of the time, to a fraction of the potions cost.

In big cities It is not so much of an active gathering as turning up in time, join on of several “soon to be full” lobbies, with whatever the game suggests, and be ready in less than 1/4 of the lime limit.

Basically you want to be able solo Legendarys ....and punish players that live in active Pokémon go communities.... Just say what you mean don’t try and I hide it.....” Im rural your not.... I feel the games not fair to me and you city players should be punished for that!!!!”
