Help with PVP tournament!

Hi!
My friends are arranging a PVP tournament. We're going to fight in the Super League and only the following 6 types (or pokemon who share one of those types) are allowed : Fire, Water, Electric, Steel, Ground and Dark. So I won't be able to use my Dusclops, Swallot, Altaria, Noctowl, Grumpig..

I need suggestions to form a team with those types. I've been thinking in Flygon, Sandslash, Electabuzz, Blastoise... basically, because they store energy fast and have multiple bars charged moves. But also need to consider weaknesses. Among those types, the dark type isn't weak to any of the others, but neither super effective. I already have an Umbreon and performs smoothly, but I'd like another dark type..

I'm a bit confused... thoughts please!!
Thanks in advance.

I wouldnt focus on just dark types. Sure none of the other types are strong against it, some will have fighting moves (like blaziken) that are effective.

Just of the top of my head, whiscash or any other ground/water type is only weak to grass and have access to spammy moves.
Shiftry with LB, kingdra.

1) Super League? Do you mean Great League, or Ultra League. I assume this is a translation thing. What's the CP cap? I'm guessing 1500 by your choices.

2) Have you considered Steelix? Great PvP tank, few weaknesses and many resistances. How about Aggron - Steel typing lets it in, and you get Rock typing which is strong against Fire. And of course Gyarados (Water) which gets you a side of flying, but no attacks that use it. Or Houndoom, the Fire/Dark typing can be very effective (and Foul Play and Crunch are identical in PvP). Oh, and of course, Blast Burn Charizard.

Yes! Super league, sorry. I thought about Steelix but its fast moves store energy slow don't you think?
I hadn't considered Aggron, thanks!!

Umbreon is by far the best dark type, but considering that allowing Water makes Azumarill legal, the dark/poison types A-Muk and Skuntank may be preferable if you expect to see the fairy menace.

For ground types, Whiscash and Marshtomp are the foremost MS/MB spammers, much better than Sandslash. And they're not weak to water, while their worst counter, grass, is more limited in access. Electabuzz does have the spammy TS/TP moveset, but Lanturn and Minun are a fair bit stronger even if they spam a little slower.

Marshtomp sounds excellent! I'll try one. I already have am Electabuzz. Haven't thought about Skuntank, I think its level would be too low for the great league and therefore die sooner, as well as Muk, have you tried them??
Thanks for the ideas!

I've tried both A-Muk and Skuntank and they're both good for countering fairy, grass and psychic and have good matchups against Umbreon as well. Poison Jab is a good fast move.

Depending on your teams setup, Forretress may be an option.
Weak to fire, but that's about it. The Steel/Bug typing gives it some very usefull resistances
So as a opener it can tank a lot of hits without the need of a shield while it prepares either Earthquake or Heavy Slam.

I have a 98 Foretress, I'll try him, thank you.
