Gyms stagnantion is even worse and this is how to cure it
In the old days it was a simple 10 coins + 500 stardust per defender every 21 hours. and the trainer must manually collect. A trainer can max this out by 100 coins and 5000 stardust.
Now the system is 1 coin every 10 minutes per defender with a max of 50 coins a day. 20 stardust per berry fed to teams pokemon but limited to 10 berries per trainer within a set timespan. trainers cannot collect heir coins unless a rival comes along and kicks them out of the gym.
Now we are faced with players not wanting to battle gyms because they already have 20 pokemon in gyms waiting to be kicked out by players that have no motivation or incentive to kick them out.
This is how we solve it. Stardust and coins!
Return defending the gyms to 100 coins a day per trainer limit.
Reward gym attackers with 500 stardust for every gym cleared with a max of 5000 stardust a day.
With this system defenders get coins and attackers get stardust.

Yeah, I've noticed other people also not attacking my gyms so maybe going to "enemy" territory is the best bet...At least the gym I am normally in has a multi-accounter so he'd probably knock himself out to allow all of us to collect...
This system is stupid though...more people will multi account I think to deal with this.
