Guaranteed lucky with mons from Sep/Oct 2016?

So has the guaranteed lucky trade been updated or it's just still for pokemon caught during Jul/Aug 2016 ?
I haven't found any new info on this so maybe somebody knows

I think it's for people that do not possess 10 lucky pokemon yet? could be wrong

AFAIK only Jul/Aug 2016 and less than 10 lucky pokemon

There has been no announcement of that. Seems unlikely though. The 10 guaranteed luckies is a catch-up mechanic for players that were playing during the early months of the game but left and are only coming back now.

No update from Niantic that I have seen ... BUT... Silph Road posted research on Luckies and they found that the success rate did indeed rise to nearly 100% about 2 years after a Mon is caught (I forget the exact number of months). When Niantic made the 100% announcement for Jul / Aug that matched the 24 month hurdle pretty well. My guess is that 24 month old Mons are nearly 100% but I have not tested myself. Will wait a bit longer or wait for some announcement or more research.

Thanks!! i was thinking the 2 years old mon would be the obvious thereshold but without any official news from Niantic we can only trust community research. I'm having some friends coming back to the game but not all of them have July or August mons. I still want to gift them some cool luckies so knowing the chances are near 100% for 24 months old mons is good news!

Depends whether the date comparison is relative (2 years ago) or absolute (summer 2016).

The Silph Road research measured the time since capture so their "24 month" window was fairly precise. Let's hope that research is still valid and no tweaks made by Niantic since.

TSR didn't published a lucky article yet. If you seen something on reddit, it wasn't official TSR research.

Applies to any trades with mons prior to Sept 2016 and only if u have less than 10 luckys. I can confirm as I have 6 luckys atm. There was an article in the news but its expired but u can find articles online if u search.
