Gen 4 Legendary Movesets

Looks like Niantic got creative with some of the movesets for the Gen 4 legends. If anyone needs me I'll be pouring one out for my boi Giratina.

Also, RIP anyone who was banking on Heatran becoming the next big thing. Press F to pay respects.

Do you have checked information about movesets? Because i was really hyped for Giratina.

Namely the TSR Megathread, some information of which has been updated here on GP.

I was expecting Heatran's situation. I though it wouldn't even get double fire set but it wasn't the case. It may still be awesome with fire/steel set.

It looks like they continue the strategy "catch one for the pokedex and then wait until [put your legendary name here] day to get an exclusive move".

In any case, many of them may change before they are actually released.

I hope so. Even if move properties didn't change, Deoxys showed they're no strangers to adding moves as placeholders until release. With Giratina being believed to be part of the Halloween event it worries me that it'll be stuck with Shadow Sneak.

I hope we will get Shadow Ball on Giratina. That would make this Pokemon a strong ghost type option.

Oh please. This has happened only once, with Zapdos. Moltres got a move that placed the exclusive variant on another role, without obsoleting the standard ones. Talking about a strategy when actually there was one occurrence of the phenomenon is just random speculation. I even think the Moltres exclusive day is a proof that they put more care in selecting the exclusive move. But of course, only time will tell.

If you want to catch everything but not power up anything until next year, or the one after that, when gen 4 legendaries have their exclusive days, be my guest. In the meantime, I'll enjoy and power up whatever new interesting contenders gen 4 has to offer to diversify my arsenal. Keeping some resources for future releases is wise. Hoarding everything and not spending anything is a shame (except of course if you're absolutely perfectly furnished with 6+ maxed pokémon superior to them for the same role, but in that case I don't think you need to worry too much about resources right?).

Just play the game in a way you have fun with it :)

Sweet, means my 98% Entei stays relevant.

Checking DPS/TDO against Regice it only bests Entei in TDO against Blizzard versions. Otherwise Entei still beats it in DPS and TDO. Jesus, Fire Blast is a terrible move compared to Overheat.

Kyogre also remains king of Water-type for now. Rayquaza got a very generous buff from the rebalance as it had even defense/sp defense stats so it's a little more comfortable over Palkia and Dialga now.
