A dozen new Pokémon, but no more storage space...not cool!

Anyone else struggling with storage space? I have 1499-1500 pokémon for months now and had to get rid of really good pokémon in order to "catch 'em all". What does Niantic think?
Also my Gotcha is useless due to the near zero capacity.

Niantic agrees by announcing in the in game news that there will be added Pokemon storage coming soon.

Yeah, but they should have done it at the same time (like they did gen 3 where we recieved the bonus 50 and then more purchasable space as well coinciding with their release)

Was just about to post the same thing. As long as we get more space by Beldum CD, I'll be happy. Happier if it happened now.

People really need to prioritize to keep what's actually important and valuable. Your 20 Snorlax's, 15 Bulbasaur shinies, etc... are the problem.
The only reason I'm tight at 900 is because I'm waiting for double-candy before transferring a bunch of legendaries I've accumulated.
