Cresselia experiment

I'm trying something different with Cresselia. Since it's not a meta relevant legendary, but I do want to keep doing occasional legendary raids, even though I already have three of them, I'm only going to raid it when it's windy, to get buffed ones. The first day it came out I was finishing my 10 raids for Meltan, and it was windy, so I'll see if it's still fun to only raid it when it's buffed. If it works, might consider doing this for all the non-meta-relevant legendaries. That way, during the few times I do raid it, it will be a little more special, since I'm getting the weather buff, which should make it less tedious (Regis, how I so don't miss you all), and a bit more fun.

Naturally, if I'm with a group that needs me to do it and it's not windy, I'll be a good sport and help them out, but the chances of that happening are small.

Thoughts? Comments? Possible modifications to this policy?

Having done 3 Cresselia raids that's basically where I'm at. I don't need a boatload of them clogging up my box and it's not a personal favorite like Giratina.

This works in theory but you could go the entire raid boss's duration without weather boost for some of the trickier/seasonal weathers if you want to fully commit to it. Good luck finding a boosted Registeel in July.

Yes, of course. I wouldn't commit to it for all Legendaries. I'll certainly be raiding Palkia when it's not windy or raining, and Dialga when it's not windy or snowing. But for the less appealing one, this rule makes the small number of raids I do for them more fun.

Seems to be a good policy. I'm doing something similar, only normally doing them if it's using my daily free pass, but may make exceptions for friends and EX-eligible gyms. Certainly not going to be raiding them like I did with the likes of Mewtwo, chaining a handful of them in a row.

I've got a 98% IV one already so won't be compelled to raid for the sake of bettering my catches like I did a little bit with Giratina.

I like the idea, but I'd be more into the opposite - could I manage the duo with appropriate boosts.

I like that too. The idea of taking a normally ho-hum legendary raid boss and making a challenge out of it.

Hi Aero, excuse me for asking but where do you live that you appear to get windy weather? Since weather boost began I have only seen " "windy" twice. When it is windy do you get frequent dragon spawns or only flying and psychic Mons? For those of us living in non-windy biomes we imagine that you get overrun with dragons on windy days when it might only be lame "birds" and trash psychics.
