Candy from Mewtwo raids

I assume everyone has noticed that we're getting 5 candy from every successful catch on a Mewtwo raid, not the usual 3. I speculate this is because of the CP buff, (which was needed so that Mewtwo would not be easier than Rayquaza to beat with small teams).

I think it's highly unlikely that there's some 'baby Mewtwo' that makes Mewtwo an evolved pokemon. Instead, it looks like theres a fundamental change in the candy awards. Do you all think this will persist? If we get Groudon/Rayquaza raids (maybe with shinies), will we get 5 candy for the raid, or just 3? How about Regigigas, when he finally comes?

Thoughts?

It's probably buffed due to the raid boss HP buff, nothing more. It looks like Deoxys still gives out only 3 candies upon catch so the 5 candy thing could be exclusive to the "T6" raids.

Id like this to continue with all tier 5s, getting 5 RC, but I highly doubt it will, mewtwo's a kinda tier 6 so I think its for them making it harder to beat. It also further compounds that this was more or less a month of mewtwo candy as its sets arent overly useful as it seems Rayquaza wont be out before gen IV so only psychic mewtwo's really useful, and even that I dont know how much use it will get with the mass availability of good psychic attackers at the moment that can substitute a legendary specalist

I've been betting that Rayquaza will get it's shiny week between Mewtwo and Gen4 coming out. After all, I doubt Niantic wants two strong players with teams of Mamoswine easily duoing Rayquaza. Since Mamoswine kicks Rayquaza's butt, Rayquaza has to come out first (like Groudon came out before Kyogre).

We'll see, but if Rayquaza does come out later, between Mamoswine, Glaceon, Weavile, and probably a few others I forgot, it will be an easy raid. Well, unless it gets the T6 treatment, and even then it won't be too hard because Rayquaza just has too much attack and too little defense to be a huge challenge in raids. Or they could do the rebalance to make Ray more effective as a boss.

In short, nobody knows except people at Niantic, who aren't telling. We'll see.
