Battle Team: Gyms

Do you have one? What does it look like?
I know Gyms aren't really hard to beat, but I'd like to safe some time by being prepared for everything people could possibly throw at me, so what Pokemon would you pick to cover most matchups?
I chose 2 Machamp since he's the Gym MVP and the others (obviously) for type coverage, but I'm not so sure with my setup and honestly, I didnt put to much thoughts in it (Mewtwo has Shadowball btw)

What's your plan against enemy Dragonites? It'll do a number on yours.

Interestingly I never met a Dragon Claw Dragonite in my area (small city), plus I don't see many Dragonite's in gyms in general
Gyarados is very popular though

If the Dragonite is full motivation, change something to Lapras. Otherwise just throw Dragonite at it.

2 Machamps, Tyranitar, Dragonite, Zapdos, Vaporeon.

Your lineup is fine, to be honest you'll probably only need the Machamps and the Mewtwo. Machamps for Blissey, Snorlax, Tyranitar, and Mewtwo for almost everything else.

This is my line up. The Ho-oh is for beating down Blissey. Mewtwo is Focus Blast, in case the Machamp needs help with other fighting sensitive mon in the gym (Chansey, Rhydon, Tyranitar, Snorlax). Except for Machamp, all are strong generalists, that I can also substitute in if I see some type advantage. And, yes, I use Dragonite on Dragonite.

For demotivated gyms, I really only need one of these guys. For fully motivated gyms, nobody will faint, and I'll clear the first round of the gym in one pass.

I only need to worry about opponents defending with berries.

You have a Mewtwo, but no Tyranitar?

In Singapore, most gyms last only a few hours and Blisseys are regularly fed Golden Razzberries, so I usually battle Blissey, withdraw, battle Blissey again, withdraw...until the Blissey is knocked out or I give up. I have a battle party for taking on Blissey and the other Normal-type tanks (once I get more Fighting-types, it could double up as my Tyranitar raid team).

I don't see a use for Tyranitar in my Lineup since my Mewtwo counters Psychic and Ghost Types (+Gardevoir) , my Gyarados counters Fire types, my Raikou Flying and my Machamp Ice, which covers all of Tyranitars uses

I have another Battle Team with 6 Machamp (2,5k+ CP) I use for annoying Defenders + severel Raidbosses (Tyranitar, Absol, Snorlax, etc)

L40 Machamp, L37 Machamp, L40 Dragonite, L40 Tyranitar, 2 mons for grinding battle count.
It is very rare to see a gym that 2 Machamps and a Dragonite don't handle. Tyranitar and the battle count mons can take care of everything Champ and Nite can't. Other than niche cases like psychic defenders, the Tyranitar is there just for sweeping demotivated gyms since it has a 3-bar charge move.
If I was to make it more optimal, I would probably change the battle count mons to Raikou and Entei.

This is mine. It covers everything except pure Fairy. It's not the most overpowered general team I might field, and it's a little short if the gym has a full complement of fat Normals, but it's the one I'm having the most fun with right now. Not too interested in duplicates:

Articuno: FB/IB
Raikou: TS/WC
Entei: FS/FT
Mewtwo: PC/SB
Machamp: C/DP
Swampert: WG/S

1. Dragonite has the legacy quick move and Outrage. I only switch for Blissey.

But anyway I attack only low motivation gyms. So I dont really have to think about it.
