Which Lapras to power up?

Hi guys,

I'm in a dilemma right now, which Lapras should I power up?

Lapras CP 1970 IV 75.6% Level 24 (HP 10, ATK 10, DEF 14) IS/B Lapras CP 1984 IV 93.3% Level 23.5 (HP 13, ATK 14, DEF 15) FB/IB

I've seen that the first one when she gets to lvl 30 she will have CP 2462, but instead the second at same lvl she will have CP 2533.

I have no Lapras candy for now but i'm planning to get them as a buddy.

Tough question, but i would power the one with IS/B to put on defense and get high places. The one with FB/IB is already good at attacking and with 1900 CP is strong enough to kill dragonites untill CP3000.

First let me say it sucks you got the move sets slightly off. Still though, 2 good Lapras either way. This is a personal choice but I have 2 and I powered up my defensive IB one. My thinking was I'd like him higher in the gyms, and I learned pretty quickly that even at 1640 CP, my offensive Lapras can hammer 2900+ CP Dragonites with ease, plus he helps prestige gyms with multiple Dragonites.

Yes, slighly better, actually both moves are great for attacking AND defending. Truth be told, lapras is good with any moveset for TWO things: Defending and attacking dragonites.

Yes, slightly off. For attacking you want FB, defense you want IS.

Right now i am in a pretty similar situation, got to choose between this two:

1649 CP, lvl 20, 80% IV (11 ATK, 11 DEF, 14 HP)
IS/IB hatched from egg

580 CP, lvl 7, 98% IV (15 ATK, 14 DEF, 15 HP)
FB/B caught in the wild

66 candy, Lapras buddy since this lucky catch.

tough call also, I think it depends if you want it for defense or for attack, in my case i want it for defense! but i hesitated because of IV, but I think I'm going to power up the first choice, after getting candy from walking!
In your case, if you want it for defense power up the first one also.

98% IV Lapras with best attacking moveset is pretty damn rare. Congrats

I made some thoughts about it.

This game gave me the closest to perfect Lapras with ideal moveset, I have to level it all the way up! 1st step to 30 I collect the 110 candy, if there is no "better" on the way I take this beauty.

On the other hand 80% is to low for a defender, almost every powered Lapras at the same lvl will be at a better place in gym.
