Game is kind of boring (not very many elite defenders to choose from, in whole game) and maybe this question is ridiculous, but i ask it anyways.
I have 2900+ ZH/BS snorlax, he is my main defender.
But im looking for 2nd defender.
Atm i always use my 3000+ L/BS snorlax as 2nd defender.
But here are few other options that i think sometimes.
2300+ ZH/Earthquake Snorlax
2400+ Con/Psy Exeggutor
Which one would you use?
Also my ZH/Earthquake will be better defender in future when he is same level as L/BS.

If you plan to keep your BS snorlaxes maxed you may have trouble keeping up with the candy cost if you take on another one. I had to cut one off, there was just no way.
I don't think Zen/EQ will ever be on equal ground with l/BS. Maybe with gen 2? I know very little about the future pokes weaknesses. BS is just so damn good on defense, I don't see it happening...
Exeggutor is a wild card, gets a lot of hate now that bugs were buffed. I'm still a fan:) Only with the psychic charge move though.
Haha gyms may not be that exciting, I'm sure you've had fun obtaining your team though right?
Honestly my area doesn't even have competition, mostly lvl 20-25ish players I only see once. I just keep hatching and catching, keeps me happy and busy:)
Have you tried making a prestige team to compliment your defense team? It's a good side project.
1250 scyther perfect moveset for 2500 exeggutor.
1500 cloyster for 3000 dragonite etc.
It's nice to get pairs.
I have 400+ max potions and 60+ max revives, so i tend to favor pokemons with much max healt, cus it gives feeling that im taking full advantage of these potions.
Thou this feeling might be just illusion, cus i havent done any calculations.
Anyways, i have 2x 1400+ wigglytuffs with pound + play rough.
I use them as generalist prestigers.
They have little bit over 200hp and i could power them up more if i want to.
Lowest pokemons at the gym is 1900+ right now.
I just take down 1-2 pokemons and then restart.
1 wiggly can take down 2 vaps with perfect dodging (only charge moves)
and 1 wiggly takes down 1x 1900+ exeggutor.
Exegge's hit hard, should also dodge their quick moves.
Exeggutor is my buddy right now.
Got sick and tired of snorlaxes, they need so much candys to power up.
My exeggutor can still be 2544cp when maxed out and its much much easier to max out it, cus sometimes can find exeggutes outside and also it only requires 3km/candy.
Its only 60% perfect with +9att, +14def, +4sta, but i still like it, cus it has right move set for defense and great +14 defense boost, cus its lowest stat for exeggutor.
