What was the meaning of Excllusive raid?

I still don't get it with niantic words.
They said :
"To receive an invitation to participate in an Exclusive Raid Battle, Trainers must have successfully completed a raid recently, by defeating the Raid Boss, at the Gym where the Exclusive Raid Battle will be taking place."

So I just need to defeat others raid bosses before I can get the invitation about this Mewtwo raid
Or I just need once time to defeat in a gym, after that if the gym hatched Mewtwo, its automatically invite me to defeat her?

They're vague about it on purpose, to get players to spend $ for "fear of loss" -- A classic impulse factor used to maximize sales.

Everyone will make theories, mostly based on other's theories and then overly fulfill the criteria they've come up with to ensure they won't be excluded-- resulting in more spending.

Don't try to make certainty from vagueness.

Eh, idk. I would buy into the "fear of loss" factor if MewTwo came out after August 31st. i think people are buying raid passes for all the birds anyway. and at this point people aren't buying them for the bird but the xp and other rewards that come with it.

There's already players doing raids at every gym they see, solely to make sure they get invites for Mewtwo. They're buying passes when they otherwise wouldn't. So, I'd say it's already working.

Look at Niantic's track record, before legendary raids dropped they stated players would have to have had "many gym/raid battles won", and in the end there was no actual criteria.

I could post my best guess as to what they meant with their vagueness, but that's all it would be-- a guess.

Someone who gets it...its a way to make people continue to do as many raids as possible even though nothing new has been released...if you saw my posts
Last week about how they would try in "disguise" implementing new raid passes w/o dealing with heavy backlash from player base in a clever but not so clever way. Think about the amount of raid passes still being spent now that wouldn't be mostly bc you never know which one will matter so might as well do as many as you can...lol...they know we were all ready to take a break from raids but this makes everyone go at it longer than the originally planned....they r a business and r fully aware that their number of moneymakers are getting less and less and capitalizing on everything as much as they can when they can is the name of the game...not unlike any other fad game of the years

Got to give it to them though...this is one of the smartest ways of doing something to maximize money coming in that they have come up for in awhile....this earns way more then just charging 150 coins for a platinum pass...plus know that we are all so desperate to get mewtwo we don't even care

I think nobody knows what exactly means "recently" sounds like it should be a longer time than jist the last raid boss because that would be crazy selective.

I think is being though it will be since the release of legendaries or maybe since yokohama event if now it will need some weeks to appear

I think a reasonable idea is that it will see if you have fought and defeated a raid boss in the past week at that gym and invite you. as frequent as the birds have popped up i do not think it is out of the question that every person that has done a raid at a gym gets invited. But pure speculation, if it is same day then all people with day jobs are screwed. No company is that stupid. So to answer your question i think you need to defeat a raid boss in a timely manner before the invitation maybe like 2 days ago not like the first week raiding was introduced.

It was found in other translations of Niantic's posts, the recently was replaced with recent few weeks so my guess is that's it not as bad as everyone is making it out to be...

If you do a raid a day in your area and mewtwo spawns a lot (which I think it will), at least 1 of those 14 raids you do will have a mewtwo...

Also, the raid timer will probably be much greater than 2 hours (more like the whole day) so that day, you prob need to coordinate with others.

The biggest challenge will be coordinating with folks in your area in case they spawn them ALL the same time and you can only catch 1 Mewtwo...(unlikely unless it's guaranteed catch like in Yokohama)...

I'd suggesting being EARLIER rather than later in case all the trainers who also got the invite is already DONE and can't help anymore.

Pretty sure I've seen 10-hr timer for Mewtwo. Also, 50 ball bonus just for defeating boss, but we should keep in mind that was for a release event and may or may not be the normal case.

I can say at the very least, I don't think active raiders will have problems getting invites to exclusive raids.

They are trying to get people to spend money on raids that don't involve the legendaries or tyranitar.

Do you want to miss out on the mewtwo raid at the gym(s) close to your home or place of work? No? Then make sure you win a raid a day at those gyms, even if it's just a magikarp.

"... completed a raid recently..." - It means "active players". I bet that it's just a measure to prevent a lot of people/account sellers from making brand new accounts since the announcement to get mewtwo. Anyone who has been playing in the last few weeks/months will be allowed to participate.

"Exclusive raid" - we have seen how people in Japan could only participate in one mewtwo raid despite having several gyms around with mewtwo. It will be the same for us. There will be plenty of gyms all around the city with mewtwo, but once you defeated it and captured it you won't be able to join another mewtwo raid. Not in the same day, but they will invite us again another time. That's my guess...

So, all those saying that we're being pushed to spend money, raid passes, etc are just being slightly evil-minded. Niantic is not going to exclude anyone.

Don't panic! ;)

Niantic is not going to exclude anyone.

Disagree with that statement, they have already excluded a lot of people with their large group raiding requirement.

Maybe this is an attempt to be more inclusive by adding in game notification to active players (which may well mean anyone who has ever done a raid at a given gym).

I can only hope for the best. Either way, I won't be worse off than I currently am (0 legendaries).

People travel to sport matches, music concerts, art exhibitions. They can also travel to get better chances of getting legendaries.
I've traveled to get to nests and complete my pokedex. Many people travel to get regional exclusives... You choose whether you want to complete the game or not. It's not impossible

That was my point. I'm willing to travel to a gym where I know enough players will show up (a park in the city, 27 miles away) if I get notified/invited. Right now, it's such a crapshoot - I go there as much as I can, but sure enough, never a t4/5 raid at that time....

Even in a city, there is no guarantee that you will find a raid to join.
