What do you think of my first Venusaur?
Hatched the egg awhile ago but finally found a bulbasaur nest to secure the candy.
Got Vine Whip and Solar Beam for this 93-95% IV Venusaur. After reviewing this sight he seems like he should be a good attacker and a nice counter to Vaporeons. Especially since I don't have an Exeggutor I think this is a great deal.
Do you all agree? Should I invest dust into this guy?

YodaJi,
Since you have a plentiful supply of stardust and candy (and, for the time being, a nest for candy in addition to any you may receive if you have a Bulbasaur buddy), I would suggest powering up the Venasaur. You will have a strong Water-Type counter on attack, and you should have a bountiful supply of extra stardust when you acquire a strong Exeggutor.

No doubt a very strong mon. IMO it must be powered up to 30 at least. Trust me if you find a better bulbasaur and somehow miraculously evolve another Venus with the same moveset power that badboy up too.
You prolly want a VW/PB on your second one rather then another SB. Effective water counters for both attacking gyms and training gyms is one of the most important goals of any serious trainer.
Thanks for the feedback guys!
Bruno, you are right I am so miserly with my dust because I'm afraid to waste it on a not good enough mon. So far a 91% vaporeon and an 89% Lapras are the only ones I have used dust on. I just haven't had many good mons to use it on. But now I have this venusar and the perfect growlithe I caught got fire fang and fire blast as an arcaine so I now have two more great ones to spend dust on
That's a great pokemon with an awesome moveset. Since the buffing of Vaporeon and the nerf of Victreebel and Vileplume, Venusaur is now an even more obvious go-to grass attacker than he already was. I have a very similar Venusaur which was caught as a Bulbasaur at lvl 24. Despite getting Petal blizzard instead of Solar beam, I had no doubt he's worth investing dust into, and will definately buddy him up to make him a real beast.
