Venusaur Moveset

Both are one bar charge moves. The time they take to cast is a little irrelevant. Same energy consumed. Total damage matters and solar beam totally outclasses petal blizzars. Yes, solar beam is slow, but you have to be just as careful with casting petal blizzard.

More damage. Although SB takes longer, the DPS over that time is more than PB plus quick moves over that same time. Looking at pure DPS is never the accurate way to analyze a moveset.

If this is your first Vsaur i can presume that bulbasaurs are rare AF where you live, that been said, your moveset is great, i would power it because of the rarity and the already great moveset, even though is not the best.

SoB hits harder, but you are guaranteed to take a hit while you launch it.
PB gives you a chance to deliver it and get a dodge in.

Petal Blizzard was a great move when it cost only 50 energy. But at the same energy cost as Solar Beam, then it is not as good a deal.

Those two things together are only good if the actual damage is comparable or the DPS is a lot higher. Sure the time is only 53% as long, but it also only deals 61% as much damage. If Petal Blizzard still cost only 50 energy, that would be amazing. At 100 energy though ... meh.

Yeah, Niantic NEEDS to fix some of these 1 bar charge moves....like Petal Blizzard (I have this one) and Psychic.

With same type move like Solar Beam and Future Sight, turn Petal Blizzard and Psychic into 2 bar moves and lower their damage a bit to make both viable or at least more so...
