Unable to authenticate?

There's a gym in my city that gives me a network error whenever I try to fight there. Then the game stops responding and when I reboot the app it says "unable to authenticate" and won't let me log in for like 5 minutes. Anyone else ever see anything like this?

There exists also a gym that let my game crash near Kijkduin. (Pokemon Hotspot NL)

i've seen one lvl 4 gym like this at a mall. came back a month later a the same thing happened, and the same pokemon were still there, lucky for these 4 trainers, too bad for everyone else.

If the gym is near wifi that you've connected to before (McDs, library) your cellular will be having its own battle to contend with and cause errors like what you're describing.
