I've seen a topic about a possible deviation from the starters "semi-exclusive" moves for the starters in 3gen, because of blaze kick and muddy water were found in the game database. Treecko seems the inevitable March CD, and maybe Im wrong, but Im pretty sure it wont get frenzy plant (or at least hope so). Until now, every single starter after the respective CD got a big improvement, but in treecko's case Im not sure. Leaf blade it's already amazing, very spammable, amazing in PvP and for cleaning gyms, and although Sceptile DPS will eventually grow with FP, it won't reach Roserade and other grass types. TDO? Forget about it.
But Sceptile in 6gen has a mega that gain a dragon type. Of all CD until now, only 2 mons share this condition:charizard and ampharos. The first already had a dragon move in its arsenal in dragon claw, the latter was given dragon pulse, an odd move for a sheep, until you figure it out it will make sense in the future.
So I believe and hope niantic its going that way, giving sceptile a dragon move (outrage and dragon pulse are too slow, dragon claw will match sceptile "agility"). And with this precedent, blaziken and swampert with different moves could be possible. Of course I can be wrong, but this would be great. Thoughts?

I did post a while back about blaze kick and Muddy water, and I too hope they do soemthing different for them

Sceptile, unfortunately for it, even if given frenzy plant, wont really change anything, roserade is so much better as a grass attacker now (and niantic as of late has seemed to understand how big of a benefit making the events/moves relevant are, I know people who went out and raided like crazy to get CTMs for roserade, machamp, honchkrow, and others to get their second charge move to the best, and cranidos apparently being in 10k's eggs will get a lot of hardcores hatching like nuts), and dragon claw would just be a better move for PvP (as ive heard sceptile's great in it because of how fast its moves are) and dragon claw would only add great coverage, I hadn't even thought about the dragon typing upon mega evolution. It likely wouldn't help sceptile raid wise, but it could be very fun, and even good, for PvP.

I hope they do give them different moves, even if muddy water and blaze kick are just clones of HC and BB, at least having the name alone would be a nice bit of notability. They were found in the code, and only blaziken and Hitmonlee can learn blaze kick naturally (chimchar and riolu get it only via egg moves) so if its added, blaziken seems like a natural choice.

Really!??! Niantic is just now figuring out that giving event Pokémon good moves are a benefit LOL!!! Stop with the “I Heard” nonsense it makes you look like a tool, everyone knows it really means “I’m guessing” ...

I'm down. In all honestly, I never wanted Gen 3 starters to receive the same CD moves as the Gen 1 and 2 starters, because not only is that boring, but Gen3 starters can hold their on without needing absurdly overpowered moves like BB and HC. Sceptile even without FP has a DPS only .6 points less than VW/FP Venusaur and that's amazing considering how insanely good FP is.

We don't need new starters outclassing the last ones every other month. A lot of people didn't give a crap about Totodile's CD because Mudkip's was just around the corner and Swampert will be better, etc etc...

We will have had more than 1 year since Ampharos got its Mega-Evolved move and not a peep from Niantic about Mega-Evolutions. Another CD with a Mega-Evolved move might spur some of the long-time players to start looking for a new game to play as it becomes a "wasted" CD for a Pokemon that is actually meta-relevant. (Unlike Ampharos.)

So I'm expecting a Grass move, not something that will hint at a Mega-Evolution. The potential blow-back for that could actually hurt Niantic on the whole; PoGo players might decide to go somewhere else rather than play the upcoming Wizarding World game, for instance, because it's from Niantic and Niantic has been teasing Pokemon players with Mega Evolutions for more than a year now. So playing a WW game would likely lead to the same problem - time to give another company a chance?
