Tracking walking distance

My wife cannot go out recently and these days I take a spare phone with me to help her play po go.

The setting is like this:
I have both my phone (with my account) and the spare (with my wife's account) connected to go plus. Adventure sync is enabled on my phone but not on the spare. My phone is connected to my Apple watch to help track distance.

I expected that my walking distance would be greater than my wife's account because go plus are always enabled at the same time and when they are disconnected I still have adventure sync and apple watch to help track the distance.

This week, up to Wednesday, my walking distance is 19km, my wife's walking distance is 25km. Why would this happen? Should I turn off adventure sync to boost the distance???
