Tempest Cup

Any ideas what the meta will be for the next silph arena tournament? Types allowed include: electric, ice, ground and flying.

I feel like skarmory will have no prevelance this time around oof

Well, skarmory's good against ice and defensively good agaisnt ground (who often are part rock)

yes, he is good against those guys, but since that cup involves electric-types, Lanturn and Magneton resists many of Skarmory attacks and are powerfull counters. Aside Them, I don't doubt we could see an underlevelled Moltres or Zapdos (flying-types), even Togekiss with flametrower XD

The meta will evolve around lanturn.

Agreed. But also maybe Magneton.

Whiscash should be good too I would imagine.

Skarmory should still be pretty good. Weak to electric, neutral to ice, but resists ground and flying, and double resists grass, which will most likely be a part of the meta to deal with Lanturn and mudbombers.

Pvpoke and pokebattler already have the first sim results up which you can look at to start building an idea of what pokemon might be good. There are a lot of strong options that are legal, at this point it feels like the meta has potential to be quite wide.
