TANGELA 89% IV // WOULD YOU?

So... I hatched an 89% IV Tangela with the best offensive and defensive moveset which happens to be vinewhip and solar beam.

I don't have any grass type attacker aside from a 93% IV Victreebell with razorleaf/leafblade. So my question is, if you had to choose between the two (i still need to get more candies for my Tangela) would you rather power up the Tangela with solarbeam or the Victreebell with leafblade?.

hi, If it was Razor Leaf - Solarbeam Victreebell, I'd go for it (leaf blade is a good moveset too)
Victreebell is a better attacker than Tangela in terms of stat comparison (victreebell 207 ATK and Tangela 183)
so I think I'd power up victreebell a little bit (not to maximum)
when it comes to tangela I'd leave it as it is because it's a perfect pokemon with that CP while training your team gyms ..

Too funny to be powered.

Victreebel. Powering it up is easier since finding Bellsprouts is much easier than finding or walking a Tangela, and personally I prefer using Power Whip on my Tangela for the lower cd which allows me to dodge more attacks after using my charge move, and if I had a Victreebel I'd want Leaf Blade over Solar Beam for the same reason.

I'll do less DPS with Leaf Blade but I'll do more damage in total before Victreebel faints.

Thanks for the insight but would you mind explaining the logic behind power whip > solar beam? Please see the picture first.

The shorter duration means you can sneak it in easier without getting hit too much.

I think it would be a more viable option if it used 50% charge energy and was less damage and a little shorter duration (on par with Aqua Tail, maybe). As is though, I usually only get hit by one extra attack when using Solar Beam, so I think the extra damage is usually worth it.
