Forgive me if I am asking some stuff that has already been answered. I was pretty much offline over the weekend, and there's just too many posts to go back and read them all.
1) What is the difference between "Time Defending" and "Time Defended" in the recently visited gym medals?
1A) Why are they different if this is the first time I've interacted with this gym?
2) What is the little blue progress bar next to my mon under the medal in the gym status?
3) Can you hold more than 1 of each TM in your bag at once? Or do you have to use one in order to get another one?
4) When I entered my first Raid, the window had a line for "private". But when I joined the raid, it looked for and found one other player. I assume it wasn't private, but there is a way to make it so?
5) Are all raids so damned laggy? My charge bar bounced all over the place. I had a hard time using a charge move, dodging was almos impossible, and if my mon got defeated, it would disappear then it would reappear and then go away wasting about 3 seconds every time.
6) Are 'rare candy' just that... A single candy that can be applied to any mon?
7) Do you carry the special balls from raid to raid with you? If I had 4 left after catching the mon, do I still have them to be added to after my next raid? And where are they? Not in my bag.

Some edits:
4) You want to private if its a mon you can take out yourself. That way you will get more balls at the end. Also, if you come with a team to defeat a higher level raid boss, you'll want to be exclusive from the other team - so you will get more balls at the end.
5) I believe its been worked on or being worked on, but yes it is laggy.
6) if you select rare candy from the item screen, it will take you to a mon selection screen. If you select a mon, it will ask you if you want to convert that rare candy to that mon's candy. You can cancel if you do not want to.
1,1a- the badges are buged, the medal isnt.
2- it shows your progress in that gym, like the number of battles you had, the number of berries you fed, and all of that is converted in your progress in that badge.

6-yes, but if you battle a level 4 raid and win it will be 5 rare candy
