Soloed a Gengar

I soloed a Gengar (SP/FB) today with all mons level 30 or below, in my first attempt.
1: Alakazam CP 2028 L24.5 IV100 PC/FS
2: Alakazam CP 2416 L30 IV84 PC/SB
3: Espeon CP 2400 L28.5 IV86 ZH/FS
4: Gengar CP 1676 L23 IV82 SC/ShB
5: Tyranitar CP 2701 L26 IV91 B/SE
6: Dragonite CP 2950 L29 IV96 DT/O

The 2 Alakazams ate Gengar's HP faster than I expected, especially the first 100% one because of his low level. By the time tge Gengar fainted, the boss Gengar was already down to 33% HP with 70-80 seconds left. My SC/SB Gengar also performed very well like Alakazam despite the low level.

Then, the Tyranitar also performed better than expected, I didn't expect it to do so well without Crunch. But, I failed to dodge a Focus Blast, and got KOed.
Then, it was down to my last Dragonite. I couldn't afford to miss a Focus Blast dodge. This was challenging because of Outrage's long animation. I was worried that he wouldn't survive, and also that he might time out. But he still made it in the last 5 seconds, with just 2 HP left at the end.
I got a fast TM and a charge TM from the Gengar raid. I also caught a double ghost Gengar with 82% IVs.

Very Impressive!!

How did you manage to last 120 seconds with your first 3 glass cannons? Dodging everything?

Oops, I meant 70-80 seconds left when the Gengar fainted. It wasn't 60 seconds.
I dodged all focus blasts with the glass cannons.
I think I remembered wrongly, it really doesn't make sense for the glass cannons to be able to last for so long.

Excellent job! I'm even more impressed you were able to catch him. I've been able to consistently beat Gengar, but can't seem to throw the balls far enough to catch him (even let a 96% slip through my grasps).

I missed half of the balls, the ball that caught it was a great curve ball with golden razz.

I might try soloing Arcanine next, once I max my first double rock Golem.
I might also try Vaporeon, when I power up a VW/SoB Venusaur to level 30.

Sludge Bomb might be the easiest charge move to beat for Gengar, being resisted by Tyranitar, and double resisted by other Gengars, Rhydon and Golem.
But most importantly, it isn't SE to any of Gengar's optimal counters.
