With Groudon gone, I use my maxed 15/14/15 Gyarados with WF/HP+Cr for gym defence and daily wins over Candela (the Electivire gets hit by HP before it can do much damage).
I rarely battle other trainers, but want to prepare teams, starting with Master League since the investments would also be useful for gyms and raids.
Is Gyarados good enough in Master League? If so:
1. I suppose WF/OR+Cr would be better than WF/HP+Cr? Would it also be better for gym defence? (Of course, I would have to find another strategy for Candela's Electivire.)
2. What would a team built around Gyarados look like? (Groudon is the most obvious partner.)
3. Any advice on shield and switching strategy with such a team?

3. Metagross, BP/MM
4. Tyranitar, Bi/Cr
5. Dragonite, DT/OR
I am likely to max out a Mamoswine (PS/Av) soon. In addition, I have a perfect Groudon (MS/EQ) and a perfect Mewtwo (PC/IB) that I finally have enough rare candy to consider maxing out.
I like Gary in Master League. My only real weaknesses are against Groudon and Legacy Dragonite. WF/HP/C is the one I have and he also does fairly well against Lugia and Mewtwo with the Crunch. Have also lost to Heatran before and Gary helps against it but does get hammered by Stone Edge.
My team consists of 3 of these mons.
