Snorlax 333 / 83 / IV27of45 / Zen Headbutt & Hyper Beam / power up= 400

Just hit level 30. Didn't get my first Snorlax until level 25 or so, and now seems they are around every corner. The 2878 / 43IV / Lick & EQ was my first and I've been powering him up along the way. Has done stellar attacking gyms even though it's said EQ is less desirable.

So which should I keep and power up for attacking? Defending? Just follow this sites A to F moveset grades, or have people had different real world experiences. Or hold out for an optimal moveset AND max IV's? Do an extra 20 points of IV make a big difference?

I also plan to keep some of the lower ones with good attack moves for training with a 'mon that's < 1/2 the CP of the defender for prestige get up gyms to open up a spot.

Wish Lapras and Charmander/Charizard and Dratini/Dragonite's were were are bountiful. Still only have 2 Lapras, 1 Dragonite (enough dratini candies just 2 days ago), and no Charizards.

Thanks in advance.

Why are people asking the same questions over and over again? Just do some research ffs. Believe me, it wouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

Well this is a question section and everyones circumstances are different. It helps to have opinions when making a decision. It's not like he's asking if if he should power up a 100iv dragonite or not. He just wants opinions.

It's Q&A, if you're not going to help why post anything.

Well, it's more like a kindergarten section sometimes. Anyway, it's not like your meaningful thoughts helped him decide anything either but whatever.

See some of your classmates?

Actually his comments were much more appreciated than your attitude of "I'm such a god at this; if you don't spend 24/7 playing then you shouldn't be here".

Any lick/HB or lick/bs would serve you better than your EQ if you're set on using a snorlax as an attacker but they are really much better defenders.

Zen/HB is rated highest for defense but many players prefer fighting HB because it's so easy to dodge. BS is much better in that regard. Your current 2878 would make an excellent deterrent just from the cp, and the EQ may catch people every now and then. Also rhydons are weak to it, which helps a little.

50~ percent iv is considerable cp loss, waiting for a close to perfect iv and perfect moveset may never come though. In my opinion I would use the 2878 to defend since it's already powered and the highest lick/bs to attack but refrain from powering it up. Wait awhile to see if something comes.

I think Zen/EQ gets a meta boost after Rhydon as well. A lot of people are still going to attack him with whatever, and dodge either EQ or SB, but EQ is slightly better as a defensive move than before.

Thanks guys. Hadn't thought about EQ becoming potentially better with more Rhydon usage. And have just recently gotten the ones with Lick/BS so will try them more since sounds like their desirable; and hold out a bit for one with better IV to appear before settling on one I have with 50%'ish IV.

Find another high IV snorlax with the best moves.
