Size of Ledyba

This ladybird is giantic, bigger than most other pokemon. They are out quite often, and dominate the screen.
The graphics seems to match with the size in pokemon info-screen, so it is not exactly an error in graphics.

Is there a reason, for this bug being so big?

Lol my thoughts all along also. I remember when the game first came out, Snorlax was gigantic on the screen. But since then they've sized him down.

Steelix is massive in the gym lineup screen at the moment. Can't even see his head.

Speaking of dominating the screen...

I just caught my first wild Gyrados lately and I was amazed by how big he was also. I suppose it also ties to the size of the Pokemon in displayed meters but for reference on the screen he was much larger than a house.
