Scizor w double bug moves
Finally got my first metal coat and used it on my 98% scyther.
I got fury cutter and x scissor. Do you think this is the ideal move set or double steel or combination of bug and steel?
I'm sure this would be great versus eggs but I seem to notice them less in gyms these days, so I'm not sure if I want to power it up to 30. And I don't see that many espeons around.
Steel moves on the other hand would have been good for rhydons and lapras?
It just seems like double steel would have been more useful.
It's at level 20 btw.

I'm curious why you think pinsir is better than scizor? Attack stat is same (236 v 238). Defensively, they are the same (Def+stamina is within 2, both 10 or less apart). Both have X-scissor as the charge move. Scizor has fury cutter as does legacy pinsir. Pinsir now has bug bite, which is a little more damage and a little less energy. The honestly seem comparable. Only difference is the steel typing, which is an advantage for scizor.
pinsir has higuer attack, his fast attack bug bite hits a little harder than the fast attack from scizor, as charge move both have the same, pinsir deals a little more damage overall per cycle, but just by a little margin in a cycle probably scizor will deal like 90 % damage total of the damage done by pinsir, even with cutter pinsir still does more damage because that little more attack stat
isnt a big difference anyway, but in scizor i would prefer steel anyday, because bug type is just terrible overall but i wouldnt use it as attacker even vs eggy, i would just burn him hard with flareon or arcanine
I got one double steel on my first try and now I'm farming for a double bug (2 fails already).
In my opinion they are the best for both steel and bug pokemons. The double bug is a better matchup against eggy than Pinsir because of Scizor's typing.
With that said, when I get the bug one, it'll be one of the last mons that I'll power up, because as already stated here, bugs aren't that useful in the curent meta.
So, if you have spare dust, power him now. If you have other mons to power up, prioritize them and then try to get a double steel one to power up first.
Either way, save this awesome mon. Don't transfer, please.
