Scizor vs Alakazam against a Snorlax?

Would a Scizor w/ Metal Claw/Bug Buzz be a better counter against a ZH/BS Snorlax? Scizor has a lower Atk stat, but higher HP stat. Also better type coverage.

Scizor would also resist Hyper Beam and Body Slam, and would have about 20 more HP than an Alakazam which would probably make up for it's longer time to kill due to it's attack stat, but since both would probably end up quite low on HP anyway, could you really call either a counter?

Also what different types are we covering? There's only one matchup.

Just wanted to add he also resists Zen Headbutt.

And I'd say yes, as he can more safely use his charge move and his quick move's higher DPS could make up for the lower attack stat.

Yes but so does Alakazam, so that's not an advantage that Scizor has. Resisting the normal moves is.

Also Metal Claw doesn't make up for Alakazam's higher attack stat. Alakazam's got about 15% more attack than Scizor while Metal Claw only does about 3% more DPS than Psycho Cut.

However if it doesn't actually make a difference in quick move damage, Scizor should be better because it'll come out with more HP at the end.
