Safe to say I shouldn't power up an Alakazam? lol

...I'd been planning to. I wanted 2 Psychics total, and now obviously will wait for Mewtwo. Just wondering if I should keep Alakazam on my list to power up eventually, or not?
Have 1 Espeon at level 38.5. The Alakazam has really nice IVs and is level 20 with PS/FS.

I would wait because, unless he had Shadow Ball, he won't be useful for the upcoming raids.

I've got a level 20 with high IVs still has shadow ball: haven't tm'd yet. Worth powering up as a extra attacker versus mewtwo? Which other upcoming raids are you referring to?

You say "wait". I guess my question was more so, should I EVER power it up? I'm set for Mewtwo counters.

If you want to solo Machamp you will need 4-5 good Psychics lvl 30+(1 or 2 can be subsituted with hurricane Dragonites or confusion Exeggutors, I personally prefer my exeggutors to have bullet seed ). 4 Mewtwos would of course also do the job, but getting candies for lets say 1 Alakazam, 2 Espeons and a Mewtwo will be easier then for 4 Mewtwos.
