Rhydon best move set?

yesterday i was lucky enough to catch a iv95 Rhyhorn with a good lvl (lvl 28), it knows rock smash and bulldoze. does that mean it will evo and get rock smash and earthquake? and what is the best moveset for Rhydon?

When you evolve it the moveset will be random.

For defense Mud Slap/Stone Edge is best. Mud Slap/Earthquake is also pretty good. Both are good for attacking too.

Nope, it's random. You probably want MS/SE or MS/EQ on Rhydon.

Just don't get megahorn. Any other moveset combo should do fine.

I'm okay with Megahorn if it has Mudslap. I'm much more disappointed with Rock Smash. I'm not sure what the fighting type coverage is supposed to protect from.

Of course if it gets Rock Smash/Megahorn... blech.

Megahorn hurts my grass attackers more than anything else. It can be painful if Megahorn Rhydon is between 2 Vapes.

thanks guys, i normally have really bad luck with moves.. do you guys think omastar with mud shot and rock slide is good?

evolve it, if it gets rock smash and earthquake, then yes. if it doesn't, then no.

Im the minority here but that doesnt make me wrong. MS doesnt matter, Rhydon is one of the easiest mons to beat. Whatever the moveset, if its gonna be one of your biggest go for it. This Rhydon will sit above most Snorlax which is a great place to be, meaning it will compete or sit below top tier lax and 2nd-3rd tier dnites and Trex's. Any Rhydon Ive fought takes exactly the same amount of time to beat, 2 HP on a Vape or Gyarados. Having the optimal moveset wont matter in the least bit, the difference is maybe one potion per fight vs worst MS. However starting CP is critical here imo Id rather have a higher starting CP and a slightly lower IV. At level 28 its golden and you should max it if its gonna make your top 5-8 defenders.
Edit: the consensus best Def ms on this site is MS/SE and the best attacking is MS/EQ but you really shouldnt be using Rhydon on attack.
