Raids like eggs

Seems that raids are like hatching eggs, with the following differences:
1) You know what you're getting, not random.
2) Fewer candies (generally).
3) Level and IVs seem to be the same (L20, all IVs 10-15).

So this isn't so much a new dynamic as it is a new way to get hatched eggs. Fighting alongside others is new, and the chance to get legendaries and rares is nice, but getting them at level 20 isn't as helpful. Consider:

You and 12 other trainers took down Ho-Oh. Great. And you caught it, too. So now you have, say, an 80% IV Ho-Oh at level 20, with a CP probably around 2100-2200. Either you walk with this Ho-Oh for about 200 km, or drop 80 or so rare candies to get it over CP 4000.

This is something you can do once, or maybe twice. It's not sustainable. And if you catch a Entei while you're still working your Ho-Oh up, oh well, just sit on it.

On the other hand, spoofers will be able to walk these mon to max pretty quickly, and find more of the legendaries, because they spoof.

The landscape is fine now, but I anticipate it getting very difficult very soon.

Spoofers don't have quite the advantage you might think. None of the raid bosses at level 3-4 are defeatable solo and the legendaries definitely won't be. If you're spoofing to a gym for a raid you can't tell until you enter it if anyone is there to help you unless you're physically at the location and can see others on their phones. Unless spoofers start coordinating with other spoofers or legits we're not going to be just sitting back collecting legendaries like you seem the think we will. And I can honestly see alot of higher level players and spoofers in particular quitting over this update. I already saw one level 36 posting his newly emptied dex on a Fb group over the new gyms already. And even if they do happen to pick up and max out a legendary, as has been pointed out over and over since the update, high CP mons just don't mean the same as they used to; they don't necessary hold gyms longer or provide much advantage at all, hence the nerd rage all over this forum about it. The other side of it is, we're positioned as potential heroes of the raid system. There was a raid video posted early on that had 4 legits at a gym raid, but when they joined, the other 16 spots were taken by spoofers and they took down a boss that the 4 probably couldn't have alone. Also, it's flipping 95 degrees in the shade where I am, no damn way I'm walking around in that just to feed some berries.
