Puzzled by long term Gym...

3 months ago I put Vaporeons on 2 gyms in a remote area. Their CP was in the 2100s then. They are still on the 2 gyms (level 10) showing 2100s as their CPs. My lowest CP Vaporeon is CP 2434 now.
Since a Pokemon assigned to a gym cannot be powered up or transferred, I have no idea how this is happening.
I am on a lot of gyms, but I think I collect the 2 coins from the 2 mystery gyms every day.

Before the CP update -- Vaporeon received a buff in one of the recent patches. Your Vapes were put in before the update.

You placed them in the gym before the CP boost? If so they will not change CP at the gym till they r kicked out. I have snorlax that is 2500+ in my poke storage but still shows as a 2300+ at the gym he is in.

I had placed an Exeggutor in a gym about 10 mins before the CP update. For about a day after it enjoyed its still slightly higher CP before it was kicked out.

Just wait that your mons drop out and then your new boosted vaps can take over.....the world.
