pokemons hatched from egg also odd integer levels?

One of the article mentions that wild pokemons are all odd integer levels. Is the same true for pokemons hatched from egg? I actually find some of my pokemons that hatched from eggs exceed the max CP given they were odd levels. So I doubt they are actually even levels after being hatched out?
