Pokemons with best legacy moveset but worse IV

I currently got a Ice shard / Ice Beam Lapras with 78% IV that I am powering up that which I am quite confident with being the right choice as a defender since CP doesnt matter that much anymore and Lapras being a elite defender based on type.

I am also wondering how good Body Slam is compared to the non-legacy moves on a Snorlax, since I only got one with that moveset with around 40% IV and 1608 CP. Was still waiting for my first Snorlax to powerup before the patch and currently got 51 candies.

So whats the question?

How good are those legacy movesets compared to the now best obtainable movesets and how much IV deficit does them make up for? And should I power up the Bodyslam Snorlax with bad IV?

At this point in time IVs no longer matter only moveset (Niantic can change this at any time similar to the Arcanine nerf)

Lecacy movesets still have value like a BS Snorlax, a IS Lapris or a DC Dragonite.

Save your stardust. The new meta just dissed the defenders.

What you´re going to do now is to wait for super-attackers/non-evolved attackers at lvl 30 to be caught. Then just evolve them and use TM´s until they´re perfect. That´s all you have to do now...

I put my medium-defenders (Lax 2500 or Gary 2400) in gyms and collect 50 coins a day. Never happened to me before re-make, maybe 40 coins in one day if I was lucky.

But in two months when everyone has armies of attackers with perfect movesets, what will we do then???

Body slam is pretty good, I use it as a bulky attacker into bosses. Powering up pokemon is not worth it for defenders.
