Hahaha they have to know releasing a new game mechanic like exclusive raid passes surrounding a highly sought after pokemon would raise a million questions. But they still choose to be vague about how it will work exactly. They are pretty generous for the most part and I doubt it'll be as difficult as it initially sounds to get into a raid. Either way someone at Niantic is probably having a good laugh making everyone squirm.
Niantic is the laughing 3rd my friend. My guess is they made it vague on purpose such that people are gonna spend money this weeks on magikarp raids on increase their amount of possible raid gyms.
Smart move Niantic.. smart move. I'm not worried about being excluded and continue with my 1 raid per day.
Nothing has been released yet so i am not going to freak out. But what i am understanding is you can use that free pass and it'll pretty much be like playing the lottery. you may have a chance at getting an invitation because you recently defeated a boss at that gym. Also, i am assuming this invitation will be sent with the pass... As with EVERY OTHER GAME, I am assuming yes if you spend money you will have increased chances in certain portions of this game. Niantic will probably keep this going at least til labor day because raids will decrease and less people will be playing, i am assuming they are also doing this to profit enough from this summer to still put out decent to good new content in the fall and winter.
