Muk's dodge/swipe rate

After a raid, I had 11 premium balls to throw at a 1536CP Muk; over the course of two minutes I threw 10 of them. Muk either dodged or swatted these 10 throws, even though I timed my throws after a dodge/swipe.

Having easily caught an Exeggcutor and Machamp from previous raids, I'm really surprised. Has anyone else experienced an asshole Muk like this after a raid? I'm a level 35 player who's never seen a Grimer or Muk in the wild, so my excitement turned into utter frustration just now :(

I have seen 1 in the wild, of all pokemon how is that smelly thing so rare? lol

I trust you were using berries on that sucka? After missing several curve attempts I just went with straight throw Great hit + Razz and caught on that attempt. Also level 35 player, only had 1 wild-caught muk in past.

Same happened to me with a Venusaur after a raid. Had crazy animation and he was going nuts. Knocked away at least 7 of my 11 balls. Jumped out of the other 4 and then ran.
