Moltres underrated in PvP?

Hey guys, I was wondering:

In Master League Sims on Pokebattler, Moltres is in the top 24 well-rounded, but near the bottom of that list in general. In my experience, it's been very good to me. Two factors I think are in play:

1) Pokebattler still hasn't gotten a good grasp on how to handle shielding in an intelligent, real-world way.

2) My Moltres has 2 charge moves, Sky Attack and Overheat. Having both greatly increases the utility of it.

What do you guys think? Is Moltres not very PvP relevant in your experience, or have you guys been rocking this bird?

I feel like Moltres will have the best chance of shining later as a counter to pokemon like Virizion, Amoongus, Chesnaught, and Tapu Bulu, assuming they're relevant and nothing takes Moltres' niche in the meta. Of course this is coming from a guy who barely touches PVP, so yeah.

The only think I could see that could put a dent into moltres' use is tyranitar. Moltres' fire moves get great match ups against melmetal and Metagross, two heavy hitters (having recently gotten a phone on loan from a friend for battles, both are destructive in my experience unless a hard counter is on the opponents side) though melmetal has rockslide and thundershock. The big one is Tyranitar, resists everything moltres has, and its moves are hard hitting (if carrying the x2 SE smack down or stone edge) or fast/spamable if carrying Bite or crunch. To a lesser extent theres lugia, kyogre and gyarados with their water moves(with the last two being water type), but I dont see them as often.

I haven't used one as I haven't maxed one out, so I cant say for how it works from experience, but ive known a few who use them

PvP wise, it can put out plenty of damage, but it has a double weakness and no real counter-coverage moves. Smack Down Tyranitar, Stone Edge Heatran, Ancient Power Giratina/Mamoswine, even Rock Slide Melmetal... there are too many things that can beat it easily, and I think the simulator picks up on that.

Moltres suffers from poor matchups across the board in Master League. It's notable for beating Metagross and Groudon, but it has a lot of issues against the most prominent threats in the league. Dragonite, Giratina, Latios, Lugia, Tyranitar, Kyogre, Melmetal, and Raikou all destroy it, and Moltres's other matchups are overall not favorable. Many teams will be able to fit at least 2 Moltres counters.
