Mewtwo or Mehtwo

With his stats nerfed, I'm afraid that Mewtwo isn't that worthy of stardust/candies anymore.
I mean, if you can have a Mewtwo now. You choose the moves. What are you going to do with each move set?

Psychic? OK. He'll be the best overall Psychic attacker, tho not the fastest (Alakazam with Future Sight has higher DPS). Even then, do you really need a Psychic Attacker at L39/40? Soloing Machamp is already not a problem. You don't see Muk or Machamp in gyms often. As a generalist, it doesn't do SE into the any of the top 7 and even resisted by one - T-Tar. Shadow Ball? It is indeed a very powerful move. But again, x0.51 into Blissey, Snorlax and T-Tar. Doesn't have any SE into other top 7. Are you going to use it against Dragonite? Perhaps the only use for this kind of Mewtwo is to Raid against another Mewtwo. But then we have a recursive situation here.... Focus Blast is promising. SE into Blissey and Snorlax and Lapras and Rhydon. Not a good plan to attack T Tar but still ok. It'll be a Machamp but with better resistance to Zen Headbutt and Dazzling Gleam. I think this is gonna be the only Mewtwo I'll consider investing in. But again, after the ATK nerf a FB Mewtwo is not the fastest killer of Blissey anymore - now the title stays with Machamp. Hyper Beam. In gyms it's very much like Shadow Ball. Not SE into anything that is. In raids, it's a so-so generalist, like Dragonite.

In conclusion, after the nerf, Mewtwo falls down from the god tier IMO. Since we already have Dragonite and T Tar and a bunch of useful specialists like Machamp and birds, I'm really seeing a Mehtwo.

What are your thoughts?

When the raids are over, there it is the question... why would someone really need an attacker (at the moment)? For gyms?

But I'll need Mewtwo to knock down that unmotivated gym in 90 seconds instead of the 95 seconds it takes me now.

I really don't understand the nerf. Seems a stupid decision in order to make the game even easier. You can't put them in gym, so why they thought it should be nerfed? Gyms are already too easy to take down, and dust is hard to come by at this point, so let us enjoy our best mon, don't nerf him. Niantic you are probably the worst gaming company in the world, anything you do have any sense, they are just cash grabbers and nothing else.

It is not about Mewtwo, it is the random decision of nerfing a single mon, what will be next? I feel frustrated that you removed Thundershock from Zapdos before even being released, that you nerfed Lapras, Poliwrath and other good defensive mon, that you give on a silver plate all the most rare mon in Chicago and Yokohama, Chansey, Heracross, Mareep, Larvitar, thousands of the most powerful and most rare species at the same place, and the rest of us what? We are not your customers? I don't even know how they make their decisitions, but I really think that a 10 year kid would manage the game better, I am not joking.

Well. Yeah that's the bigger issue.
Because PoGo Pokémon stats are based on that from original series, but PoGo's game system is so much simpler than that of the original series. So we have Slaking issue.

Slaking will be released with half stats, because Niantic is too lazy and incompetent to introduce abilities into the game...

They could have easily excluded Focus Blast from his moves to give him a weakness and make him easier to take down. No one would have batted an eye. Instead, they take the stupid route.

in its present state, the game is all about collecting & filling your dex. You can use virtually anything to take down gyms, even high level players are now puttin' sub 1000cp mons in them. IV's only mattered when powering up mons for the old gym system. Even for raids you don't need maxed out mons. Powering up legendaries is purely a personal project but has no value in the current meta. Hopefully going forward there will be more changes that reward time & effort but at the moment the game lacks direction.

"Powering up legendaries is purely a personal project but has no value in the current meta". I like this statement.
Seems like powering up pseudo legendary like the almighty Dragon has some value after all. Who is pseudo legendary actually xd

There's no point in powering up any Pokemon any more. All I needed to solo Gengar is some sub-30 wild caught/evolved mons that have not even been powered up once.

I dont like with Niantic decision
First they make legendary can not place at gym
And now, Mewtwo nerfed.

In my city there are very few high level players, but a lot of driving raiders. I'll probably end up with 5 of these...there are level 28-30s that will get 20 of them. I prefer limiting what they get. To me it is a negotiation, nerf it a bit=getting it sooner, plus also getting us closer to Gen3****Just read about the exclusive raid invitations, I think it will be helpful in my area.

I'm really glad Mewtwo got the nerf. It will ruin the entire meta otherwise.
