Mewtwo counters
As we all know, Mewtwo is coming soon!
However; should I use a charge TM on my houndoom to get double dark moves, or, use a TM on a gary to try get bite and crunch as it currently as outrage.

Houndoom will deal a little more damage than Gyarados because of STAB. It also has immunity (double resistance) to Mewtwo's psychic moves, and a single resistance to Shadow Ball. It still has a single weakness to Focus Blast (as opposed to Tyranitar's double weakness), so will not be as strong in that matchup.
Gyarados, even without STAB, still gains the type advantage from dark moves. (Hydro Pump with STAB is still really good.) It also has a resistance against Focus Blast and no weaknesses to any of Mewtwo's other moves.
