Mamoswine community day move

Like many of you I have Mamoswine with the community day move. The question is do I TM it away to get Avalanche or burn the high dust and candy for a 2nd move.

Reason for the question is all about the upcoming ray weekend.

If the answer is to add a move why is this a good deal.

It depends, do you plan on using mamoswine for PvP? As AP can be good if trying to get the stat buff off or possibly shield burn, but otherwise its a collectors piece.

I've used AP a few (maybe two or three) times in gyms for hitting a Charizard if its behind a dragonite/salamence but rarely sees usage for gyms, and isnt a good rock raid attacker

Think of it this way: you can always get more Stardust, but an exclusive move is pretty neat to have.
See, Mamoswine is a fantastic Ice and Ground Pokemon, but his community day move simply wasn't his most powerful move.
If you wanted a community-day move Mamoswine, you should not have done it on your better Mamoswines.
I only evolved ONE Mamoswine on community day; it had a mediocre appraisal, but it was shiny, so I planned on keeping it in my collection anyways. My best Mamoswines, I saved and later made them into Ice-type and Ground-type beast.

Why not make more Mamoswine? If you have the candy, just pray for avalanche. Fast TM to powder snow is the only investment you would need to make. These tend to be less precious than charge tm’s.

I do not recommend tm in ancient power away. It is an exclusive move, and it is a GOOD move. It charges super fast so opponents must use up their shields earlier, and if its buff activates Mamoswine becomes a beast!

I would recommend adding a second charged attack and pray it is avalanche. Powder snow+ancient power+avalanche is the best combo imho. Powder snow generates energy like crazy, ancient power breaks shields early and can buff mamoswine to Arceus like stats, and avalanche just outright slays anything that does not resist ice. Amazing set!

I likewise have the same issue.

Only evolved 2 mamo's on CD, my 98% level 30 and one of my two identical Luckies (both 91 13 attack at same level).

My thought being at the time that they were the only ones I'd even consider getting a second charge move for.

Then so suddenly, Rayquaza. Uugh - love to finally get him but what timing! I was hoping to have more time to see if the buff became more reliable or if Mamo became good in PvP - even though I don't really PvP much at all. OR if the buff became possible in PvE.

Anyways - I think my decision is being made based on how easy Ray is to duo. I'll only invest what I need to, to do the duo reliably - which shouldn't be much. However given the reduced Stardust cost of starting at level 30 for one and being lucky for the other - I may add the extra move as a cheaper cost than powering another one. Yet I also plan to power the much lower level 98% shiny that I got.
