I evolved level 18 magi to get Bite/Outrage, I have 212k dust and plenty of candies. Worth investment to max I'm level 34?

Only if you need something to sit high in gyms and nothing else.

If you need defenders and this is guaranteed to land you a good spot in a gym than I would power it up. Otherwise I'd hold onto that dust lol! Congrats on the 100 Gary though!

I'm in 20 gyms now so I don't really need another defender cp wise, I have many mons I want to power up level 25 Egg 100% ex/sb, gengar sc/sh ball, scizor, flareon FS/O etc I'm over same gym defenders think I will wait until 500k dust and max him at that time

Definitely worth maxing eventually. With all you other defenders, it sounds like there's no rush.

i also have 200% gyarados with bit and twister:D maxed cp all the time for gym and with hope of move change. to make it more funny i habe another 96% with same moves also maxed;P

I got a level 30, ~89% IV Magikarp that I evolved to get Bite/Outrage. I'm not going to spend any dust on it, but it is a good backup attacker to support my ~2300 Ice Shard/Blizzard Lapras against Dragonite heavy gyms. Actually better than my Lapras when I am attacking with other players because Outrage is more energy efficient than Blizzard.
