Machamp
So I jst evolved my machops i have been saving. Total 6 machops and ended up with
1 karate chop/ stone edge
5 bullet punch/ stone edge
Wht are the odds not a single karate chop/cross chop, forget that not even a cross chop, STONE EGDE ALL OF THEM.

My guess is that there is something more than simple 50/50 on movesets, even if I can't demonstrate it I think that some movesets (at least quick moves in my experience) are more likely to appear than others (Bite on Arcanine, SW on Dragonite...), maybe it's like heads or tails, there are some studies that confirmed that it is not an exact 50/50 game and if the part of the coin that looks up when you throw will have a little more chance of staying up.
But we will probably never know for sure. Anyway I feel sorry for your luck (and I know how you feel, got 3 Dragonites in a row with SW when I want a Dragon Breath one so bad...)
I had to evolve 4 Dragonites to finally get one with Steel Wing. Also, 11 Arcanines evolved and only 2 with Bite... Just because you happen to get something doesn't mean it's rigged in any way. If there was only 1 million players, after 8 evolutions on average there should still be about 3-4 players that evolved the exact same moveset every time (assuming there's 6 different movesets). Sure, they probably feel like they're cursed or something (especially if the moveset they get everytime is Bite/Bulldoze). That still doesn't mean that there's anything out of normal happening.
Even if there were statistics that would show that some moves are just a little bit more likely or unlikely than others, I think that it is more likely that people are just lying and exaggerating their bad luck than actually some moves being more common than others.
MaChamp has three possible charge moves. So, your odds of not getting cross chop out of 6 tries is (2/3)^6, or ~0.088; not high, but not impossible. I think the karate chop/stone edge one should be usable. I'm using a karate chop/submission. With dodging he can take down snorlaxes that use lick; just karate chop them to death. ZH snorlaxes wear him down too fast, and using submission doesn't shorten the battle by much, except if machamp gets hit with a charge move while using it. The ZH snorlaxes are usually pretty easy to finish off, by whatever's next up in my line up, though. Stone edge would have enough more impact to make a difference.
eh, it happens
While the statistical studies conducted by TSR didn't prove anything, they do show that the hypothesis of the distribution of movesets being uniformly distributed (ie same chance for each moveset), does agree with their data
And having studied statistics myself I can reaffirm that they did good a study in terms of their sampling method, their choice of hypothesis testing, and their mathematical accuracy
I feel your pain. My first machamp I got kc/cc. I love that moveset. I have now evolved 11 more and have never gotten it again. Starting to think it's a legacy move.
I also love primeape lk/cc. I was building any army for prestiging different level snorlax. The other day on a mass evolve I did 6 of them. 5 in a row were low kick/night slash. What a waste
